Visual Arts
Set for Cassandra at Mission Creek
2007
Shown: detail of mural and "Clytemnestra's
Throne".  Constructed for an environmental
physical theatre piece performed at
Mariposa Studio.

Artist's Statement

My training and practice in
performing arts and structural
engineering infuses my visual
work with a unique sense of
movement and perspective
with a tactile quality.  Working
in a variety of forms (dance,
sets, acting, costumes,
construction) has had an
enriching effect.

Current work includes a new
installation piece for
Mariposa Studio in the form
of a suspended labyrinth.  It
incorporates, as a spring
board, the mural depicting the
surrounding hills and mirrored
city from Mariposa Studio's
place in the "bowl" of San
Francisco.  Participants will
find themselves along a path
of changing planes and
viewpoints.
