Jean and Pierre Lafitte were the Sopranos of New Orleans from 1808 – 1818.  
Cat Island was their lair.

Meet the Cast

Afi Ayanna  
is a music and theatre nerd with a heart of gold.  She studied vocal
performance at The California Jazz Conservatory and completed a MFA in Acting at UC
Davis, where she wrote, directed, designed and acted in her original one woman show
“Travelin’ Light”.  Afi was the lead in the short “Do They Fit?” featured in Cannes 2016.  
She is also an advanced yoga teacher and women's health and sensuality coach -
extremely passionate about the magic that happens when women share their stories!

Diana Brown  has appeared at Mariposa Studio in Apparitions and Cubic Space and is
proud to return to Mariposa Studio for this reading.  Diana performs with the improv groups
Bingewatch (San Francisco Improv Fest), Sorry Not Sorry & So You Want a Job
(Improvaganza Fest, Hawaii), and Radiostar Improv (  Diana’s stage
credits include, Death Be Not Loud! (Best of D.C. Capital Fringe), Blessing Her Heart
(BATCC nomination), Dead Certain (SF & NYC productions).

Elisabeth Lagelée is a French-American actress with a focus on audiobooks and
animation voice-overs. Upcoming projects include "Little Girl Lost" by Alexandria Clarke, the
French adaptation of "Once Gone" by Blake Pierce and "Ambition, a minuet in power" by
Joy Manufacturing Company. She developed her acting skills in Paris with the Alec Bartus
Company and is now a member of the LEELA improv community in San Francisco. She also
is a volunteer with Reading Partners and LibriVox.

Gabriel Montoya  has appeared at Berkeley Rep in It Can't Happen Here as David/Mr.
Dimick, the Brava Theater in Ghost Limb, as The Ghost/Claudius in SF Shakespeare on
Tour's Hamlet, Einstein in Beverly Hills Playhouse SF's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Austin in
Theater Madcap's True West and Mickey in Boxcar Theatre's original cast of The
Speakeasy. Gabriel and his wife Robin's production house, The Department of Badassery
made theatre history in 2015 with the simultaneous world premiere of Ben Fisher's "Don't
Be Evil" onstage at Pianofight and in virtual reality. Gabriel is also a writer, specializing in
the performance-enhancing drug problem in combat sports. His work has been featured or
cited by, USA Today, ESPN, The L.A. Times and the Guardian, among
others. He is the co-host/co-producer of a weekly radio show, The Next Round, on the network.

Curt Moore is co-leader of the 5 piece Latin-Jazz group, Soul Sauce. Curt has over 100
recordings to his credit and has shared the recording studio stage with a wide variety of
artists including Francisco Aguabella, Count Baise Orchestra, Chuck Berry, Ray Brown,
Joyce Cooling, John Clayton, Richard Davis, Ian Dogole, The Different Drums, Pete
Escovedo, Bruce Forman, Lola Falana, Vic Firth, Mimi Fox, Jimmy Haslip, Jimmy Heath,
Jackie and Roy, Andy Narell, Patrick Palomo, Bernadette Peters, Rufus Reed, Francios
Rabatth, San Jose Jazz Orchestra, Turtle Island String Quartet, The Zone, Wild Mango.
Curt is currently teaching in The Bay Area schools and at his studio in South San

Craig Neibaur is delighted to come back to some acting after a hiatus due to being a dad
of twins! He has been a professional theater artist in the Bay Area for over 26 years.  He
has worked at the Magic Theater, Berkeley Rep, Aurora, S.F. Playhouse among others.  

Sondra Putnam is the Director of Care Actors, a company of expertly trained medical
actors specializing in communication techniques articulating the value of mindfulness in the
Physician - Patient relationship. Many of the actors in this cast are members of this
company. She also has a passion for cactus gardening and French cooking.

Bob Taxin is a vaudevillian who has been entertaining international audiences for
decades. As an actor, fire-eater, magician, mentalist and escape artist, he has presented in
corporate venues, offering his unique skills for the San Francisco 49ers, IBM, Ford Motor
Company, and many others. He was also a featured performer in the Ringling Bros. &
Barnum & Bailey Circus. He is currently obsessed with playing the resonator guitar.

Lluis Valls is a theater artist focused on medieval Japanese Noh and Kyogen forms.  He
has toured throughout the US as well as Europe and Asia with Theatre of Yugen since
1993, and Theatre Nohgaku, of which he is a founding member. When not chanting he can
be found as a clown with Clowns on a Stick (2002 founding member) who were recently
commissioned to create 'Rhapsody of Fools' for Cinnebar theater in Petaluma.  Next year
Lluis is creating a new work with Ryan Hill of Sandbox theater to debut in the fury factory,
as well as a new English Language Noh play 'Gettysburg' by Elizabeth Dowd with Theatre
salon performances
